Akdeniz bölgesi, Türkiye’nin güneyinde bulunan Akdeniz’e boylu boyunca sahili olan bölgemizdir ve Akdeniz bölgesi görülmesi gereken gezilecek yerleri antik kentleri olarak derlediğimiz bu sayfada ayrıca bölgedeki tarihi yerler ve şehirler ile, ören yerleri hakkındaki bilgileri de bulabilirsiniz. Bunun yanında bölgenin medeniyetleri, uygarlıkları ve beylikleri ile ilgili bilgiler de yine gezi notlarında bulunmaktadır. Çünkü günümüzde gördüğümüz yapılar bu beylikler, uygarlıklar veya medeniyetlerden gelmektedir.
Akdeniz bölgesi yaz mevsiminde yerli ve yabancı turistlerin uğrak yeri olduğundan dolayı, bu mevsimde nüfus artmaktadır. Genellikle sahili ve koyları için tercih ettiğimiz bu bölgenin kumsalları, koyları günden güne ne yazık ki kirlenmektedir. Ancak tarih ve kültür meraklıları haricinde pek de kimsenin uğramadığı antik ve tarihi şehirler, tarihi yerler burada biz ziyaretçilerini beklemektedir. Öncelikle Akdeniz içinde yer alan kültür çeşitliliğine bakmak açısından tarihsel süreç içerisinde burada kurulan veya etkisi altına alan uygarlıkların eserlerine göz atmak gerekmektedir.

Akdeniz bölgesi içerisinde bulunan tarihi yerler ve antik kentlerden çıkartılan tarihi eserler, Antalya Arkeoloji Müzesi de denilen Antalya Müzesi sergi salonlarında sergilenmektedir. Bunun yanında Ankara’daki Anadolu Medeniyetleri Müzesi içerisinde de Akdeniz bölgesi antik şehirlerinden çıkartılan eserler görülebilir.
Son yıllarda keşfedildiğinden itibaren hızla kirletilen ve son günlerde de millet parkının yapılacağı söylenen Salda Gölü sayfasında Salda gölü hakkındaki tüm bilgiler bulunmaktadır. Salda gölü de ne yazık ki son günlerde çok ilginç haberlerle gündeme gelmektedir.
